Tupy has released the new edition of its Sustainability Report. The initiatives reported are based on the Materiality Matrix, which defined indicators for managing the Company\u2019s environmental, social and economic issues<\/p>\n

With approximately 500 thousand tons of steel scrap per year transformed into high value-added products, Tupy promotes circular economy, bringing benefits to society and the environment. In 2021 it reached the important milestone of 97% of metal raw materials derived from recycling. In addition to reducing the extraction of non-renewable natural resources and avoiding landfill disposal, the initiative also minimizes greenhouse gas emissions, as each ton produced with scrap avoids the emission of 1.2 tons of greenhouse gases.<\/p>\n

The report emphasizes initiatives related to commitment with people. In 2021, Tupy provided approximately 460 thousand hours of training sessions for its employees, a team that grew with the integration of the operations in Aveiro and Betim, acquired in October 2021. The Company also sponsors initiatives to the local community on several fields such as education, environment and health, impacting approximately 15 thousand people.<\/p>\n

With net revenue of R$7.1 billion in 2021, the highest in its history, 60% higher than the previous year, Tupy seeks to integrate sustainable development and technological innovation, supplying the growing global demand for capital goods with solutions to cargo transportation, infrastructure, agribusiness, and power generation.<\/p>\n
