Founded in 1938, in Joinville, Santa Catarina, in the Southern
area of Brazil, TUPY has an annual production capacity
of 500 thousand metric tonnes of cast iron
parts in two industrial plants: one in Joinville and
one in
Mauá,
in the state of São Paulo, in the Southeast of
Brazil.
For the commercialization, supply
logistics and product
development,
in a simultaneous engineering
process with
customers, TUPY counts
on offices located in the United
States,
Mexico, Germany, England, Italy, Japan
and Argentina
besides the ones in Brazil
to call on domestic customers.
A large share of TUPY’s production
consists
of components
developed under request for the automotive sector, which
includes parts for trucks, buses, utility vehicles, passenger
vehicles, tractors and other types of agriculture machinery.
Among its products are parts for propulsion systems, brake
system, transmission and steering systems, axles and suspension
systems which absorb all kinds of mechanical loads and
stresses throughout a vehicle lifetime.
Tupy also manufactures and commercializes malleable cast
iron parts, iron and steel shots and grits and continuous
cast bars, to supply for the markets of civil construction,
marble and granite industry and several industrial engineering
segments, besides other applications.
Employing more than eight thousand people and exporting
half of its annual production to more than 40 countries,
the
company is certified to the standards ISO/TS 16949:2002,
ISO 9001:2000, and ISO 14001:2004. |
